The Fujairah Museum is one of the most important museums in the UAE, dating back to the early 1970s. It was a single room attached to the Khalid Bin Al Waleed Public Library to showcase the ancient history of the country.
The Fujairah Museum was inaugurated on November 30, 1991. It is located in the middle of the city of Fujairah and is considered one of the most important tourist attractions in the UAE because of its ancient relics dating back to 4500 BC.
The Fujairah Museum has three heritage halls, two archaeological halls and an archaeological library hall, making it one of the most important tourist attractions in Fujairah.
Activities you can do
• Starting with the first Heritage Hall, which showcases the professions in which the region worked in the past, such as trade, fishing and agriculture, and showcasing some of the tools that are used in agriculture and fishing.
• Then you can move to the second hall in the Museum of Fujairah, which contains a number of old weapons in addition to some popular costumes
• Then you go to the third hall, which contains stone and copper relics have been used since ancient times, in addition to axes and variety and many mugs
• Before you move into the library room you should stop for a while to see the ostrich egg dating back to the second millennium BC, which was used as a container to save liquids.
Finally, you can stop at the Fujairah Museum at the Historical Library Hall, which contains a number of books of archaeological and historical studies in addition to the science of museums and archeology.
