Rockwood Park in St. John is the city's central gathering point for outdoor recreation. Covering 2,200 acres, the extensive park offers plenty of hiking and cycling on dozens of tracks.
Visitors can take off at the golf course, or rent kayaks and kayaks in the summer. The park's zoo and a campground are popular for families.
In winter, the Snow Park is a destination for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. The cold weather also offers the opportunity to ski trips on Lily Lake.
