It is also known as the Bridge of Lovers, and is considered one of the best entertainment and hiking sites that can be passed through the tourist attractions in Paris, especially for couples and lovers. The bridge passing above the Seine River has long been famous for closing lovers' engraved locks around its ornate steel arches until 2015, before the government took action. A decision to remove them and prevent this tradition in order to preserve the integrity of the bridge from the mid-1980s, however, the bridge has not lost its influence as an ideal place for quiet romantic outings.
It is noteworthy that the current bridge is not the original art bridge, which was established by Napoleon Bonaparte in the early 19th century, as the first suspended iron bridge decorated with roses and rest houses in the city and even the world, but the original bridge has gone through a number of incidents and wars that led to the destruction of most of it and the distribution of its girls in several cities
