Cable car The Untersbergbahn cable car is one of Austria's most famous tourist sites in Salzburg. The cable car was built over two years and opened in April 1961.
The cable car journey begins at the lower station in the village of Saint-Léonard, where it takes passengers on a journey of about 20 minutes to the top of the mountain.
