The Shubra Museum Palace dates back to 1995 in a historic building built in 1904 in Taif
The palace was the residence of the royal family in the city before opening as a historical museum, and is currently well known among the tourist places in Saudi Arabia
The museum building is characterized by its unique architectural style, in which the Roman character blends with Islam and some of the traditional architectural styles of the Hijaz area at the time.
The museum consists of a four-storey basement, some outdoor accessories and gardens, and 150 rooms with archaeological exhibits.
Activities you can do
• Start your tour by taking pictures of the palace's exterior, which is characterized by its geometric style, in which the blend of Roman and Islamic architecture and decoration is harmonious.
• Then you can wander a bit in the palace gardens full of trees, some of which are over a hundred years old, along with some wood carvings.
• As you enter the building, you will start your tour in the main hall, which was known as the Selmak and the center of the building, including double stairs and alabaster floor.
• Then take your tour to the Stone Age Hall, which displays a collection of artifacts and pottery, and some paintings that include inscriptions and inscriptions.
• Then proceeded to the Islamic era hall, which includes some ancient pottery and exhibits to tell the story of Islam and the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him
• Visit the story of the unification of the Kingdom from its beginnings to the present era, which includes some heritage pieces, paintings, pictures and documentaries.
• End your visit with a tour around the palace offices, such as His Majesty's Office, and go up to take some pictures of the decoration of the wall of the roof of the building with a Roman character
