Are some of the largest and most beautiful waterfalls in the world. There are three parts to the falls, but the two main sections are concave Horseshoe Falls, 640 meters across the run from the Canadian shore to the American shore, and the American waterfalls, about 330 meters across, in New York State. There is also a small third section located between these two, otherwise known as wedding veil falls. On the Canadian side of the falls, a walkway walks over the waterfalls all the way along the valley and offers breathtaking views. At night, waterfalls are lit in different colors.
Visitors can stand along a railway near where the water falls 57 meters above the ledge in the narrow corridor. Just behind the viewing area is a welcome to Table Rock Center with a restaurant overlooking the waterfalls, shops, an information kiosk and a kiosk where visitors can buy tickets for various sights and tours.
Under the waterfalls, the Niagara River flows through the deep walls of the strait, between 80 and 300 meters, forming Whirlpool Rapids while the gorge narrows. Water eventually flows into Lake Ontario.
