This mosque is one of the most important areas of tourism in Cairo and draws its importance from being one of the oldest mosques in the heart of the city, which retained its original form since its founding in the end of the ninth century AD by the ruler Ahmed bin Tolon to this day, in addition to being the largest mosque in Cairo.
The elevated Ben Toulon Mosque features its famous minaret on its roof, where you can climb, enjoy the fresh air breeze and see Old Cairo from above.
