Heidelberg Zoo began as a foundation in 1933, and opened its doors to welcome the public at the end of the following year.

New facilities are added to the park periodically as an expansion system for the possession of all types of wild, water and amphibious animals. The park embraces many rare and endangered animals, as well as children facilities, and is one of the tourist destinations in Germany and one of the prominent landmarks of Heidelberg.

Activities you can do
You and your children can enjoy the nature of the garden, which includes, along with animals, various plant facilities to match the quality of the creatures they embrace.

Then you can start your tour by seeing rare and endangered animal species, such as the Syrian brown bear, Sumatran tigers, Asian lions, and many others.
