On Trammplatz in Hanover stands the majestic new town hall (Neues Rathaus), built between 1901 and 13 in the style of the Wilhelmina period.
Sometimes called the New Town Hall, it is one of the most interesting structures in Hanover because it was built entirely on the basis of 6026 beets of beech and crowned by an arched tower, about 98 meters high, dominating the city's roofs.
From the dome display deck - accessible by a unique elevator, which raises passengers to a corner - are some of the best views of the city.
