British Columbia is famous for many hiking trails, and Whistler is no different. The trails range from easy walking in the nature of a lost lake to high mountain climbing. A network of hiking trips radiates out of alerts over Whistler Mountain.
Gondolas take hikers above the tree line, where the trails are particularly beautiful during the Alpine prairie season. The mountains also adjoin the mostly raging terrain of Garibaldi Regional Park.
Five sequential areas provide access to the county park from various points between Squamish and North Whistler. The trails include excellent day trips to Lake Garibaldi, Chickamos Lake and Lake Wedgemount.
