In recent years, a new life has been breathed into the city center making it a particularly fun place to explore on foot. Different walking routes are marked.

 Shopping centers, heritage brick buildings and historical tombs are located near the downtown area. Generally considered the center of St. John, King's Square has a two-storey musical platform planted with trees and flower beds in the shape of the Union Flag. There is an old pro cemetery bypasses.

Dating to 1817, the Loyal House was among the few who survived a fire in 1877. David Merritt, a loyalist who fled New York, built a white wooden house and a clear facade hiding Georgia's spacious and elegant interior.
