Since its founding more than a century ago, the New Brunswick Museum has been dedicated to the province's natural history, life and art. The "Golden Age" of the 19th century shipbuilding industry in New Brunswick is particularly well represented, with collections of model ships, paintings and other objects.

There is an interesting section about the first indigenous culture of New Brunswick including antiques made from birch bark, feather and bead work, traditional furnishings and clothing

The Regional Museum has an impressive collection of watercolors, drawings and photographs of St. John, New Brunswick and other parts of Canada. The Natural History section focuses on local flora and fauna and the usual geology of Fundy Bay and beyond.
