The Carnival of Nice was mentioned in 1294 in records announcing its arrival in the town of Count of Provence, Charles of Anjou. He did different forms depending on time.

While in the Middle Ages the festival was a succession of balls and concerts, the 18th century favored special masked balls in Venetian style. The modern carnival did not appear until 1873 with the establishment of the Festival Committee.

Today it is the first international carnival in France and the most important event in Cote d'Azur in winter.

From mid-February, the city was moved for two weeks through carnival, flower battles, concerts, performances and fireworks.

Obviously, it is the carnival parades that attract the most spectators with its 20 ornate floats, 300 cartoons of cartoons and giant robots.
