Located in Annecy, Gardens of Europe is one of the most important tourist attractions in France.
The landscaped gardens, the banks of Lake Annecy which overlook them, are added to the general inventory of French cultural heritage.
The gardens were built in 1863, but the building dates back to the 16th century, and was built as a buffer zone during the plague epidemic.
The place was named after the gardens of Europe at the end of the last century, because of its location that fits well with the name.
The gardens currently include around 600 trees, many plant species, and special places for picnics, as well as a number of stone and plant statues.
