The museum is located in the suburb of Canet (French Le Cannet), on a high hill 3 km from the center of Cannes. The museum is a villa called Belle-époque, which has been renovated and added a great modern accessory.

  The paintings of Pierre Bonard, who moved to Paris in 1910 with his wife, lived in a villa on the beach of Canet.These paintings are characterized by their vibrant colors, the most important of which are the landscape paintings of Saint-Tropez and the Riviera resorts.
