At the southern end of Avenyn and below the Gothenburg Museum of Art, Götaplatsen is a distinguished square laid out for the International Exhibition in 1923.

This is a cultural district of its own, because the art museum is accompanied by the City Library, City Theatre and the City Concert Hall, where the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra is based.

Come to take snaps of the Nordic Classicist and to meet the statue of Poseidon standing in the fountain at the end of Avenyn.
