One of three museums at the Akershus Fortress, this attraction chronicles the Norwegian Resistance during the occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany from 1940-1945.

The venue is the noteworthy “Double Battery” building, completed in 1692. Drawing on posters, paper clippings, dead drops, makeshift weapons, recordings, documents and photographs, the museum goes into events and topics like the Invasion of Norway in April 1940, Norway’s totalitarian government and the captivity and deportation of 40,000 Norwegians.
