Inside the Palazzo dell'Accademia delle Scienze is the Galleria Sabauda, an art museum containing some of Turin's greatest treasures.
The collection includes pictures by the Piedmontese artists and by the Venetians Mantegna (Madonna with Saints), Paolo Veronese, Tintoretto, Tiepolo, and Canaletto, as well as notable works of Tuscan artists including Beato Angelico's Angels in Adoration.
The extensive collection of Dutch and Flemish paintings includes works by Jan van Eyck; Rogier van der Weyden; Hans Memling; Van Dyck; and Rembrandt, who is represented by an early painting, Old Man Asleep. One room is devoted to the Gualino Collection, with pictures by Botticelli and Veronese.
