The Prophet's Mosque is one of the three mosques that can be trekking to, and as stated in the hadeeth narrated by the companion Abu Sa'eed al-Khudari about the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said (the traveler only draws to three mosques, the Grand Mosque, Al-Aqsa Mosque, and this mosque) The virtue of praying is equivalent to (1000) prayers in other mosques, and as the Prophet said in his hadith (prayer in this mosque, is better than a thousand prayers in other mosques, except the Sacred Mosque), and was established by the Holy Prophet with the Companions to be the first place Islam and a beacon of worship.

Our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) emigrated from Mecca to Gore and hurt her people and spite her masters against him and the Islamic invitation to Yathrib, which was then known as Medina, which is currently located on the western side of Saudi Arabia.

When the Prophet arrived in Medina, the Ansar began to aspire to the honor of hosting him, but the Prophet refused, and even to be separated in this regard, ordered them to leave his (al-Qaswa) and release the way, until you blessed the place ordered, to be blessed in the easy and easy Mariam, orphans of the Ansar, Where the Prophet bought the land from them and paid for ten dinars, and then ordered immigrants and supporters to build his mosque Sharif.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) started to build the mosque in 1 AH / 622 CE, with his blessed hand and with the help of his companions by transporting stones and yoghurt while repeating (O Allah, to live the life of the Hereafter, He should have mercy on the supporters and immigrating).

The foundation stone of the mosque reached about three arms, and its columns were built of palm trunks and a length of thirty-five meters and a width of thirty meters, and its walls of milk with a height of two meters, and covered the roof with grids, and the center of the spacious and mihrab, the total area of approximately (1060) square meters.

There are three doors, the first southern door because the qibla was towards Jerusalem in the north, the eastern door, which the Prophet called (the door of Osman), and is now known as the door of Gabriel, and the western door called (the door of mercy)

. In the second year of the Hijra, the Holy Prophet converted the Qibla from Jerusalem to Mecca, where the northern gate was opened and the southern gate closed.

He also built a room for him next to the mosque, to live and rooms for his wives (may Allah be pleased with them), where there is the grave of the Messenger of Allah in his immaculate room and the tomb of the companions Abu Bakr and Omar bin al-Khattab may Allah be pleased with them
